Join a public call
Search the topics people want to talk about, and filter by language or Has space. The list updates live as calls start and fill up. Pick one to see it before you join.
Start a call
Public: give it a topic, an optional description, 1 to 5 keywords and a language, and choose 2, 3 or 4 people. Everyone online can find it. Private: add a title if you like. It's never listed, and you get a link to send to the people you want. You can start up to 3 calls an hour.
Before you join
Check your camera and microphone, choose which ones to use, and see the name you'll get. Then tap Join now.
Anonymous names
People get Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta in the order they join, each with their own colour. Nobody sees your username. If your connection drops, come back within 30 seconds to keep your name and your seat.
In the call
Use the bar at the bottom to mute, turn your camera on, share your screen, raise your hand, send a reaction, play a game, open the chat or see who's here. Whoever is talking gets a glowing ring.
The host
Whoever starts the call is the host; if they leave, the person who has been there longest takes over. The host can remove someone (they can't come back), lock the call, change how many people can join, reset a private link and end the call for everyone.
Vote to remove
In a public call with at least three people, anyone can start a vote to remove someone who is spoiling it. If most of the others agree, that person is removed and can't come back to that call.
Connect, report or block
Tap ··· on someone's tile (or in People) to Share Connect, report or block. Only the two of you ever know about a Share Connect. Blocking hides them from you, and reporting also blocks. People who have blocked each other can't join the same call.
Good to know: you can be in one group call at a time, and not while you're in a text chat or video call. A call ends when everyone has left, when the host ends it, or after 6 hours. Calls and chat in groups are never recorded or stored by us, but everyone in the call can see and hear what you share.
